Elizabeth "Libby" Mae Holder Currin

Mrs. Elizabeth “Libby” Mae Holder Currin, 88, of Lillington passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Leslie Carson Holder and Callie Mae Black Holder. In addition to her parents, Libby was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Currin and a brother, Harry Holder.

Libby was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was a lifelong member of Summerville Presbyterian Church where she was an active member of the Women of the church. Libby received a Lifetime Membership Pin by Summerville Presbyterian Church. Libby felt happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She looked forward to their visits each Sunday night. Everyone that visited her home was always welcomed, fed, and loved, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They always knew where the treats were. Libby dedicated her life to serving her family and others.

Libby is survived by her sons, Timmy Currin Jr. and wife Susan, Tony Currin and wife Darlene, Terry Currin and wife Laura; 6 grandchildren, Amy Barefoot (Jonathan), David Currin (Victoria), Brittney Currin Harrington (Matt), Jessica Currin McLain (Tyree), Ryan Currin, Jaylyn Spitzer;  7 great-grandchildren, Gavin and Grant Barefoot, Carson Currin, Emmy Kate and Claire Harrington, Kyler and Karter McLain; sisters, Lenora Morrison, Vivian Stephenson, Nancy McNeill; brother, Franklin Holder (Laura), James Holder (Barbara); many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:45 PM Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Summerville Presbyterian Church and other times at her home. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Lillington.
