Jean O'Quinn McDonald



Mrs. Jean O’Quinn McDonald, 86, of Lillington passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her home. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late James O’Quinn, Worth Cummings and Nora Thomas Cummings. Jean was preceded in death by husband, Ralph McDonald; daughter, Andreia Currin; daughter-in-law, Patricia McDonald; brother, J.C. O’Quinn and sister, Margaret Wester.

Jean was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all she met. Many that met her would often comment on her unique ability to cook all dishes especially chocolate fudge. She was loved by all, and she seemed to never meet a stranger. Her family would like to thank all of the folks that visited and brought food during her illness.

Jean is survived by 2 sons, Terry McDonald and wife, Shelia of Lillington, Danny McDonald of Lillington; 7 grandchildren, Brian McDonald, Dan McDonald, Jr. and wife Amy, Tamara Lord and husband Joel, Brad McDonald and wife Melanie, Kimberly McDonald, Marsha Spainhour and Justin Currin; 8 great-grandchildren, Dylan Cameron, Blane McDonald, Anna Spainhour, Chloe McDonald, Lyla McDonald, Bella McDonald, Noah Currin and Nora Henson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Raven Rock Presbyterian Church in Lillington with Rev. Doug Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church after the graveside service and other times at the home.
