Mr. Stevenson Romeo Hallman, 61, of Broadway passed away peacefully Monday, June 5, 2017 surrounded by family at his home. He was born in Lee County, the son of the late Sam and Elizabeth Rogers Hallman. Stevie graduated from Boone Trail High School and also received an Associates Degree in Automotive Mechanics from Central Carolina Community College. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially trips to the river. One of his favorite pastimes was working in the yard. Stevie frequently watched and attended NASCAR races. He also loved grilling out and spending time with family and friends. Stevie worked at Frontier Spinning Mills in Sanford. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sammy Hallman. Stevie was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, son and friend.
Stevie is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Hallman Brown and husband Kyle of Broadway; son, Chance Hallman and wife Robin of Lillington; step-son, Kevin Stone of Sanford; 4 grandchildren, Angel Stone, Makenzie Thomas, Ansley Brown and Isaac Brown; sisters, Patricia Baker and husband Michael of Broadway, Kay Davis and husband Robert of Lillington, Dianne Dodson and husband Gregg of Sanford; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Cool Springs United Methodist Church in Broadway with Rev. Ramon Atkins and Rev. Wayne O’Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at the home.
