Celebrating the life of David M. Brown
Thank you for signing David M. Brown's Guestbook
Roger, I was sorry to learn of David's recent death. I think it was last week that I asked Louise Taylor if she had any news of him. She did not. I, now almost 85 and something of a hermit, do not get out much now. I have many happy memories of David, you, and your family --- after all we do go back a long way (to the early 1960s, I think). You, too, have such memories and they will surely give you comfort in the years ahead. Such is my wish. --- William Tuck

Dear Roger, I came to be pastor of Memorial Baptist Church a couple of years ago. I visited David on several occasions at the Tower Nursing and Rehab Center. A year ago my wife, Sarah, and I took him a poinsettia from the church at Christmas. We got behind this year and had planned to visit him the week after Christmas, but we had a tragedy in our own family and I have been on leave since Christmas Eve. I'm sorry we missed seeing David. He was welcoming to me whenever I saw him, interesting to talk to, and courageous in spirit. Memorial Baptist Church sends you our deepest sympathies and prayers. On behalf of the church, I would be honored to assist with the graveside service if you would like. You may call me at the church, or leave a message if I'm not here, at 919.893.4162, or on my personal phone at 910.916,2102. May God comfort you and those who mourn with you. Ed Beddingfield, Pastor

So sorry to hear of David's death. I knew him in much younger days and admired his family. His mother, Dorothy, was a dear friend of my mother, Alma Howard. I knew her and cared for her, as well. I know many folks in my hometown, Buie's Creek will be saddened as well as am I. A really fine family! Mary Joe Howard, Auburn, Alabama.

Roger, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of David. So many memories of him when he lived down at Oak Island with you. He was a kind and gentle man.

I have many fond memories of all the cousins playing together at our grandmother's home when we were young. David, we will miss you.
