Mrs. E. Christie Arrington, 88, of Fuquay-Varina passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Liverpool, England, the daughter of the late William and Ethel Christie. Mrs. Arrington met her late husband, Clyde, in England while he was serving in WWII. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Arrington was an avid Tar Heel fan who loved watching anything UNC. Mrs. Arrington was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Fred Christie, Billy Christie, John Christie and sister, Ethel Appleton all of England.
Mrs. Arrington is survived by a son, William R. Arrington of Fuquay-Varina; daughter, Christy A. Temple and husband Curtis of Fuquay-Varina; 2 grandsons, Dustin Temple and wife Courtney of Fuquay-Varina, Bradley Temple and wife Brittany of Fuquay-Varina; 2 great-grandsons, Chase Lane Temple and Caleb Warren Temple.
The family will receive friends at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 PM and other times at the home of Christy and Curtis Temple.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Eastern North Carolina Chapter, 5171 Glenwood Avenue, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27612.
