Obituary

Mr. Phil Singler, 55, of Lillington passed away Monday, April 24, 2017. He was born in Tippecanoe County, IN, the son of William Raymond and Janet Lohmiller Singler. Phil was employed with Edwards Electronice Systems in Clayton and a veteran of the US Army. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Phil spent much of his free time hunting and fishing with his son Justin and friends. Phil was a kind, unassuming man, intentional in his love of God and service to others. His love of animals and passion for doing the right thing were part of his moral compass.

Phil was well known for his distinctive sense of humor which was appreciated by almost everyone. He had a life time love of country and classic rock music which he shared with us all. He touched the lives and souls of many. His presence in our lives is a gift we will always be thankful for. Phil was a loving and dedicated husband, father, son, brother, uncle and nephew.

Phil is survived by his wife, Donna Singler; son, Justin Singler (Caitlin); mother, Janet Singler; father, William Singler (Carol); siblings, Michael Singler (Melissa), Misty Terrill (Toby), Regina Singler; uncles and aunts, Ed Lohmiller (Vicky), John Lohmiller (Becky), Judy Harris; nieces and nephews, Michael Singler, Jr. (Samantha), Casey Harper (Jeffrey), Pete Williams (Amber), Jordan Singler; 5 great nephews and 4 great nieces.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel in Lillington. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
