Obituary
Elizabeth Robinson Tidd, of Lillington, formerly of Swanton, VT, passed to her Heavenly reward on April 16, 2017. She was born in Providence, RI on May 4, 1925. Her family summered on Martha’s Vineyard where she loved to sail and swim. She graduated from Roger Williams Nursing Program as RN and was a compassionate nurse and caregiver her entire adult life. She married Russell Tidd in 1947 and they began their marriage by moving to Texas. Russell joined the Border Patrol which meant packing up the household and relocating every 3-4 years. Wherever they lived, she created a loving home for her family and made life-long friends. They retired in Swanton, VT where she greatly enjoyed her home, family, garden, neighbors and friends for many years.
Elizabeth is survived by Constance Tidd, Virginia (Earl) Boudreau, Stephen (Lisa) Tidd, Jude (Jon) Dullnig, Eric (Katherine) Boudreau, Luke and Thomas Tidd, Austin Dullnig, Hadley (Ed) Siler, Bradford Robinson, and Deb Kennedy.
As per her wishes, a simple Christian service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Erwin. Her ashes will be placed beside her husband in the Vermont Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date.
Thank you to the Green Leaf staff and caregivers for all the kindness and special touches given to her. Thanks also to Gail from Community Hospice for respectful care at the time of her passing.
Elizabeth, the Sunshine Lady, will be remembered for her bright smile and happy personality. She will be greatly missed.

Our condolences to the Tidd and Boudreau family. Betty always had a smile on her face and John will always remember the church Progressive dinner the time someone went home with her shoes both he and she laughed about it for years after.

Mrs. Tidd will always be remembered as the most friendly and kind hearted lady and very special neighbor on Linda Avenue. The most amazing outlook on life even though her physical abilities got more challenging. Thank you Mrs. Tidd for your beautiful smile and wave from across the street. It meant more than you could ever have known to a young man. So much respect for you and Mr Tidd.
Your beautiful spirit and and engaging personality will never be forgotten!
I was privileged to have met and to have known you.
God Bless you and your entire family.
